I'm Published!

I just received word that the Scrapbook News & Review magazine is publishing 5 of my layouts to showcase a "clean and simple" scrapbooking style. I'm really excited! Here's hoping there's more to come!?

So they never did put me into their magazine... very sad, but forging ahead!

Busy day

I've been hard at work and just finished another LO for a challenge over at twisted sketches. It was a fun one as I got to use a transparency I've had sitting around for awhile. It's a very simple and clean LO, but I like it. The photo is so important to me that I like it as the focal. I didn't really mean to have a monochromatic page, but it works. The title transparency says "In dreams and in love there are no impossibilities."

My 1st Altered

My scrap room is in desperate need of color and inspiration. So while looking at the color combo #5 from SPCC for this week, I decided to try my hand at altering a paper lantern I had. It ended up turning out great! I can't wait to make more to go along with this new theme for my scrap room. And the best part is that I got the lantern for $1 at Dollar Tree! Gotta love that place too!

SPCC DT Call

This is the last week to apply to be a DT member over at SPCC. I've applied because (as you can see from my posts) I've had a lot of fun with the color combos each week. Samantha picks out great colors! Travel on over and give a challenge a go!

Happy 4th!

It was a very busy week, but I finally found time to scrap! I did this layout for SPCC #4. And this time I linked it up (unlike last week when I posted, but forgot to link it on SPCC)! I liked how this came out. I used my Pazzles to cut out the sand pail. The colors aren't coming out too well from my camera though... I need to buy a "true light" bulb.
