Busy Beaver

We closed up our scrapbook store for good yesterday and so I'm finding that I have more free time (even though it's only been one day)! so, I happened upon another challenge over at www.cropaddict.com and i think it went pretty well. The challenge was to scrap a holiday without using the typical colors. It was pretty hard! I'm loving doing all of these different challenges though. My lighting is a little rough right now so you might not be able to tell that the title is a bright green glittery chipboard and the solid paper is a bright red.

SPCC #3

I'm really loving the color combo challenge over at SPCC. This week had a great pallet - perfect for Easter. I like the layout I made of my youngest sister. It was just the perfect picture of her on her first Easter. Oh...and I've kinda solved my journaling issue.

1. Don't journal (or just do dates)
2. Use American Crafts clear journaling stickers!

I love this one!

I wanted to find a bunch of pictures of my husband to start our scrapbook from the beginning for both of us. While looking at an ad challenge at http://www.adthis.blogspot.com/ I made this page. I absolutely love how it turned out! It was a lot of fun to make as I tried to add as many different elements as I could. It's a bit more abstract than I normally make, but I still like it a lot.

I placed in a challenge!

Woo hoo!!! I finally made it in a challenge! I'm so excited - this gives me that little oomph that I need. I placed in the top 5 over at spcolorcombos.blogspot.com. Thanks so much and I can't wait to finish this week's color combo.

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo 1 Challenge

Using this week's color combo (which are great colors by the way) I made a "Daddy's Girls" page. I used a photo of me, my 4 sisters and my dad. It was done just after my mom and dad had a divorce. So, while it's a nice picture of all of us, it is a little painful.

I had fun doing this one, but I really still need to learn how to add journaling to a page so that it looks nice... But on the upside I used the Pazzles for the title and the oval journaling block.

Busy, Busy

So, I finally have time to post and get some scrapbooking done. Summer is here and there's no more school! I have a full list of things to do and I have to pick up a bunch of photos from Target tomorrow. Gotta love photobucket - upload and order prints cheap! Hopefully I'll have some new stuff up tomorrow.

Happy Birthday (almost)

My sister came over this weekend and we made her invitations for her 13th Birthday coming up at the end of the month. They turned out awesome! I'm so glad I was finally able to use my Gocco and my Pazzles. The gocco didn't print as nicely as I would have liked, but I think it was user error and not the gocco. Love them though! We used the xyron runner to print each invtee's name on a ribbon wrapped around the card.
